Change Management Specialist  

 

Scope

The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Change Management Specialist to support the 4th Signal Center (Theater) residing in primary locations at Hawaii & Alaska USA and Okinawa, Japan as part of the Pacific-Theater Network Operations Security Center (PAC-TNOSC).   The Change Management Specialist will be part of the computer network defense (CND) and security services team that will ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information and systems used in planning, coordinating, directing, controlling, and sustaining military forces.


The Change Management Specialist shall be responsible for the development of configuration management documentation and procedures related to release of drawings, documentation, software, and hardware changes authorized by the management and other functional change management groups.  The candidate will advise and provide guidance on methods and procedures, and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of the appropriate artifacts. He/she will maintain records that establish the traceability of changes for all items under the CM control within the 4th Signal Center for the Pacific-Theater Network Operation and Security Center.

 

General Duties

Direct operational responsibility to:

  • Develop the CM processes, including identifying and documenting the items to be controlled and the information to be captured and recorded
  • Establish the baseline for each item that is under the CM control
  • Perform the version release of the CM items
  • Perform periodic CM audit to verify in compliance of the established CM plans, procedures, and policies
  • Attend meetings with management and other functional groups to obtain authorization to release drawings, and software/hardware configuration changes as needed
  • Assist and train other CM staff in the creation and management of each project specific Configuration Management Plan


Required Qualifications
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Network Change management or Configuration Management
  • Must be IAT-III (CISSP) Certified with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) fundamentals
  • Must possess exceptional teaming skills and will have extensive experience working with senior customers
  • Must possess an active Secret Clearance
  • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR)

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree or equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (LSS), ISO-IEC Certification for Information Technology Service Management or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with short timelines
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
  • Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects
  • Ability to perform and participate in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of network users
  • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
