The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) to support the existing Multi National Forces-Iraq (MNF-I). This position will require the candidate to work at numerous US military camps throughout the Iraqi theater.
The candidate must be familiar with the DoD standards - guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, engineering and certification and accreditation. The candidate must be able to translate security policies and requirements into an IA configuration implementation and application requirements. The candidate must be capable of performing network and host vulnerability scans and document results in relation to residual risk identification. Must be familiar with network vulnerability scanners (ex. Retina, Harris STAT, ISS, etc.). The candidate must be familiar with patch management software (ex. WSUS, Update Expert, SMS, Hercules, etc). The candidate must have experience with web content filtering (ex. Websense, Blue Coat, etc). The candidate must complete incident handling processes and analyze data from scans. The candidate will implement and enforce security policies across the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for securing UNIX and Microsoft operating systems as needed. The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
It is critical for candidates to have in depth knowledge of the listed skill sets. IASOs are responsible for training personnel in their area on the skill sets listed above. Candidates may be asked to work with these applications independently at remote sites. This is an extremely dynamic environment and the customer has high expectations for our IA Professionals throughout the MNF-I AOR.
