| Scope |
The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Systems/Application Security Analyst to support the 4th Signal Center (Theater) residing in primary locations at Hawaii & Alaska USA and Okinawa, Japan as part of the Pacific-Theater Network Operations Security Center (PAC-TNOSC). The Systems/Application Security Analyst will be part of the computer network defense (CND) and security services team that will ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information and systems used in planning, coordinating, directing, controlling, and sustaining military forces.
As an expert on information security, the Systems/Application Security Analyst will provide support to the security monitoring team by analyzing system alerts, logs collected by automated tools, and perform analysis on trends and vulnerabilities. The candidate will analyze the sensitive of the DoD, DOE, industry, or other sources of sensitive information and verify their compliance with the government security policies and procedures. The Systems/Application Security Analyst will participate in the evaluation of all vendor provided signature packages, and advise on information & IT infrastructure security to protect the ongoing or future PAC-TNOSC businesses. The candidate will keep the Senior IT team informed of current security vulnerabilities and trends, and assist the security team in providing a practical resolution to address those vulnerabilities. He/she will participate in the internal audit of PAC-TNOSC to ensure compliance of security policies and programs.

| General Duties |
Direct operational responsibility to:
- Analyze the cross-platform security architecture/solutions at the systems/application level
- Provide analytical oversight to the security monitoring team for prevention, detection, response, and forensic investigation with the respect to security threats and attacks
- Monitor network security management systems/applications for intrusion detections and preventions
- Analyze alerts, logs, suspicious activities, perform the security vulnerability assessment and report security events to the Regional Computer Emergency Response Team-Pacific (RCERT-PAC)
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting classified or sensitive information or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, espionage, sabotage, or loss
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites
- Conduct survey/assessment of industrial or other facilities as directed to determine the organizations eligibility to work with and store classified and sensitive information
- Analyze and develop security plans and procedures including, but not limited to, access to facilities by employees, vendors, Government personnel, and others; badge and pass systems; and clearance records and controls
- Develop, document, and enhance security programs and policies throughout the PAC-TNOSC environment
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

| Required Qualifications |
- Must have 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Security
- Must be IAT-II (Security+) certified
- Must have familiarity with a wide variety of computer applications and operating systems in a mixed Solaris, Linux, Microsoft Network Operating System, and Microsoft Active Directory environment
- Exposure with VOIP, SAN/NAS, IPS, IDS, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, Disaster Recovery Strategies, etc.
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN/DMZ connections and segregations
- Must possess exceptional teaming skills and will have extensive experience working with internal and external senior customers
- Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications
- Must possess an active Secret Clearance
REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR)
- Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Mathematics (or equivalent work experience)

| Desired Qualifications |
- Experience of Information Security Vulnerabilities Assessment and practices
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (LSS), ISO-IEC Certification for Information Technology Service Management or equivalent experience is preferred
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with short timelines

- Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects
