| Scope |
The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Visual Information Services Senior Tech to support the 7th Theater Signal Brigade residing in Bagram Afghanistan, as part of the Joint NETOPS Control Center-Afghanistan (JNCC-A) in Bagram, Afghanistan. The Visual Information Services Senior Tech will be part of a Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) services team that will support planning, program management, integration, operation, and maintenance of a unified network management function for all C2 systems and services of the Program |
| General Duties |
Direct operational responsibility to:
- The Theater SME shall manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all VTC systems and projects under the responsibility of the USFOR-A CJOA
- Shall provide state of the art, networked visual information services for JNCC-A and its meeting and conference facilities. This shall include, but not be limited to, setting up, adjustments, and operation of audio/visual equipment
- Engineer, operate and maintain suites of VTC and AV hardware and software. This shall include the performance of routine preventative maintenance support on all AV and VTC assets as specified by the manufacturer or local operating instructions
- Schedule, coordinate, and administer VTC and AV sessions
- Recommend upgrades to the VTC and AV systems at least annually and incorporate approved upgrades
- Engineer connectivity to other locations and equipment, including USFOR-A, RC-E, RC-S, and other locations as directed for audio/visual systems
- Train personnel on AV and VTC equipment.
- Maintain a COMSEC account for keymat necessary to run secure VTCs
- Provide customer support with cable and satellite television service requests
- Validate cable and satellite billing
- Cover AV/VTC events outside normal operational hours
- Other duties as assigned

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics
- Minimum 4 years experience using TANDBERG Visual real time collaborative communications equipment or similar equipment
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of Telepresence and associated systems
- Must have a working knowledge of PolyCom, or Cisco Telepresence systems interconnectivity
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of all Port and Protocols associated with Video Communication. (SCCP, SIP, H323, H320)
- Must possess an active Secret Clearance
- Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications
