Information Assurance Security Officer/Information Assurance Network Engineer

 

Scope	The Command & Control Integrated Systems (C2IS) Programs Group is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Security Officer/Information Assurance Network Engineer (IASO/IANE) Floater to support the existing Multi National Forces Iraq (MNFI) Headquarters, in Camp Victory, Iraq. As an IASO/IANE Floater, he will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of DoD and MNF-I security policies throughout the Iraqi Theater of Operations. Responsibilities include 24-hour availability, managing security appliances, identifying potential network security vulnerabilities through discovering potential gaps in security best practices. This position will require the candidate to travel and work at numerous US military camps throughout the Iraqi theater.
Required Skills	• Have a minimal 4 years experience • Must be able to translate security policies and requirements into an IA configuration implementation and application requirements • Possess the ability to perform network and host vulnerability scans and document results in relation to residual risk identification • Must be familiar with network vulnerability scanners (ex. Retina, Harris STAT, ISS, etc.); patch management software (ex. WSUS, Update Expert, SMS, Hercules, etc) and have experience with web content filtering (ex. Websense, Blue Coat, etc) • Must have experience with Cisco PIX firewalls and be familiar with network vulnerability scanners (ex. Retina, Harris STAT, ISS, etc.) and document results in relation to residual risk identification • Must be CCNA certified • Must have a US SECRET security clearance and a US citizen
Desired Skills	• Be certified as an Information System Auditor (CISA) • CCNP Certified • Possess certifications from the following: CISSP, SANs, Cisco and Microsoft • Be familiar with and utilization of CISCO network management tools (SolarWinds, CiscoWorks, etc.).
Required Education	A minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical experience is required.
