Direct operational
responsibility to:
• Provide technical oversight and direction to the
Help Desk, including Desktop Support and Automated Data
Support Equipment (ADPE) sections
• Provide technical oversight and direction to the
System Administration section
• Provide technical oversight and direction to Network
Administration
• Direct interface and reporting to site Operations
Manager, Program Manager and Customer Management, as required
• Direct interface with senior site military leaders
• Train, mentor, evaluate, and lead technical employees
• Primary coordinator of O&M projects that affect
the network in the IZ (migrations, outages, upgrades, etc.)
• Primary interface with E&I for the transfer
of E&I project to O&M responsibility
• Provide assistance in troubleshooting in any area
of the Data Team responsibilities
• Review implementation plans for the domain on NIPRNet,
SIPRNet, and CENTRIXS DISN networks
• Provide oversight and guidance for US military network
operations, procedures, and policies; principles, procedures,
practices, techniques, trends, and nomenclature associated
with wide area networks (WAN/WIFI), fiber optic network,
spam filter, VoIP, SQL servers, Cisco equipment local area
networks
• Personnel evaluation and development for more than
fifty people in the department
