Experienced
Senior Data Network Engineer- WAN (SDNE) to support classified
networks for the military throughout Iraq. The position
will be located at Camp Victory – Baghdad, Iraq. The
Tier three Network Engineer duties will consist of being
an escalation point for operations and some engineering
tasks.
As an escalation point, the Tier three engineer will be
responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, upgrade
and problem determination and resolution of the theater
classified and unclassified WAN.
Engineering responsibility is for operational engineering
where requirements were gathered from the network operations
center and not changing the architecture or original design
intent. Also, Tier three Engineers are responsible for implementing
new engineering projects received from the network architectural
cell.
The person will be involved in numerous engineering projects
and activities that will include: design, configuration,
installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting
of multiple classified and unclassified networks. The position
requires SENIOR level understanding / experience with BGP,
VPN’s, ACL’s, MPLS, IP, VoIP, Switching, SNMP,
H.323, NAT, ICMP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, and other complex routing
architectures.
Person must have Enterprise level knowledge in Routing,
Design, Configuration, Troubleshooting and Support of mid
to large sized network environments. Experience working
with and managing BGP, EIGRP, ISIS is a must.
They must be flexible and creative in adapting to environments
where functional and operational objectives evolve and change
rapidly. This is a very fast-paced environment.
The candidate will work under the immediate supervision
of a military shift leader or other contract personnel designated
by the PM. The candidate will be subject to a government
security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified information.
